appreicateing the roll of mom's

well to start off with i just want to say to mom's everywhere..... thank-you for all oyu do for your families.. i has been 5 days since my wife went to texas to help bring texas and her little texans home for a visit. it has been an eye opener for me. i know that my wife is super-woman. but this week has confirmed to my soul that she and all moms are super-women. i am tired, my sleep is limited to cat naps. raising 3 no 4 wild kids is not all fun and games.3 are ok, but the 4one makes me madder than a wet hen.
anyway i now see why the car has so high miles on it. go go go thats all i do. clean up fold another load of clothes. thats if the 4th kids hasn't taken the wet close out of the washer and put them in a basket so she can do 1 dress or a shirt. its to far top the dryer to put them in there. and its to hard to fold the cloths that are in there so she throws them in another basket or puts them on top of the dryer. it has been fun to have the 3. we are doing well, nobody has duct taped me to the chair or put corn flakes in my bed. but we still have 4-5 more days. anyway my hat is off to all moms. god bless you for all you do.

long time no blog////////////////

well its only been since the holidays that i have added to my blog. after being chastised severly by my texas daughter, i thought i'd better get blogging. its hard to keep up with all the new ways to communicate with family and friends. if it has wheels i understand it and enjoy it. but with hard drives and ram and rom and etc............ it isn't as appealling as hard tops, rag tops and bikes. but i will endenour to try to keep up with technoglogy....

we have finally finished our fireplace at home. it is beautiful and suzie and i did it all our own. we started to clean out the garage and we are getting rid of all our extra JUNK//// and yes daughter's i got rid of all my wire(almost, i found 2 more)they will join the other 3in the garbage. now don't think that i will give up all my tools. even though i can't turn wrenches for awhile, maybe not at all.i will save my tools.because i can go out to the man cave and fire up my compressor and make noise with all my air tools. this weekend Suzie and i are at the coast enjoying each others company. we have have had a great time togther and we much needed this retreat. well tomorrow we go back to the house to see what is left. on 10may09 i go to my MEB up@ FT.LEWIS,WA. i hope they will give me a medical retirement.thats what i am hoping for. if not, then they had better send me with my unit. well i hope this is O.K for my 2 texas daughters and my 1 texas son.now don't expect me to keep up with this blog, until i catch heck from my kids. god bless all. GO ARMY////////

tis the season --now what is the reason?????

well it's that time of year where retailers go all out for your money.CHRISTMAS is a big money maker for the retailers. here in Lebanon area i saw Christmas stuff going up as early as labor day. in desperate times desperate(retailers)people do desperate things. 533,000 jobs lost last quarter. no its not a recession uncle SAM tells us. but the retailers and laid off workers say a different thing.i hope that uncle Obama can do something to help us get back to normal.i am glad that i work for the federal government.they can't fire me no they can send me back to the war zone but they can't fire me.besides i make more money in the war zones of the world.

now its the Christmas season, i despise this commerical time of the year. i love Christmas cookies, church programs and ward dinners.i love shopping for my small family. just 29 of us at this point, but my youngest is having twins. show off////// i love getting together with family and friends for dinner and other festive things. leave the department store out of my house///////////////// Christ is the reason for this season//////// our savior came to earth to give us the greatest gift of all. the atonement is better than any retail gift, or catalog order. it is free. it is life altering. it saves more, and gives more than toy or store purchased gift ever could. i am grateful this time of year for my savior and his unconditional love. although i am that way 24-7 365 days a year. i am grateful for my wife ,who is the second greatest gift i have been given. she's an angel, she has to be to put up with me/////// now last but not least is my children and their families. i love sons and daughters. they are a joy to me. i love my daughter-in-laws and my son in laws. i love my grandchildren. i think i only have a couple of grandkids??????? 20 now and 2 in the oven. what a tribe. soon we'll need our own zip code when we get us all in one place. well i have rambled enough, you see whats most important to this old man ME//////// just kidding it is and always has been the gospel and my family. i hope that you all have a very merry christmas and a happy new year..... wait you can't be that happy you only have 17 shopping days left.

privatetilzation of our blogs......

well it has come to personal invites to see whats going on in the lifes of my kids and gkids. toooooooo many unwanted creeps watching our business. i say lets find them and hang them up by their little toes over a fire ant hill and smear them in honey.... well with each new item invented for personal use on the computer there will always be snopper's. so going private isn't all bad. you people in texas and in germany, if you lived in my state we wouldn't have this issue. because we'd be close enough to pester each other often.... but maybe thats why you all moved away from mom and me////// well at least one of my kids says i was the reason for my kids to move away. it worked //////// now i don't have to put up with pescty daughters and in-laws and gkids/// you all know how i feel about my family. anyway i wolud feel it a priviledge to be invited to your blogs. i love you all and which we were alot closer. pop

general conference oct08

well tonight is the first time in along time for me to be able to watch priesthood secession with the Bros of my ward. seems like every time i get ready to go something redirects me to do what ever it is. i look back at a time when my 2 sons would go with me to the ward house. what a wonderful time it was to have both sons there . but now my boys are raising families of there own, far far away. huh, maybe they are are trying to tell me something. and 2 of my daughters, who worship the ground i waddle on moved far far away too. what are you trying to tell me??????????? no don't tell me cause you might hurt my tender feelings. no just kidding. i realize you have to go where the lord sends you. but Texas, i don't think it was he who sent you there. i miss the days of going to watch conference together as a family. i mean what a treat, to go every 15 minutes and bring you all back into the chapel.fun fun fun, i only hope that your children don't do that to you.. heh heh heh???? its your turn now to police up your kids// watching conference at home can be dangerous, never getting dressed, watching in your p.j's getting up and putting the t.v on pause. while you go do whatever you do. sometimes i wish they had never invented DVR. but then again I'm glad they did. well i hope your conference watching goes well and you get a great big helping of the spirt in your home and in your lives. i love you all and miss you as much. happy birthday Aamon matthew lamb. later dudes.

out of the mouth of babes

well having grandchildren is great///// if we had known that grandchildren were so much fun we'd have them first...... talking to your grand kids is fun and also very informative. take tonight for instances. we call some of our grand kids to find out how the first week of school went. COOL they say fun . recess is neat one granddaughter says. one grandson says i like p.e cause you get to exercise ans play games. also we found out from one granddaughter that if mommy doesn't have any clothes on daddy will take us to the bus. LOL/////// daughter i don't want to know////////// anyway the more we talk to our grand kids the more we find out the more we laugh. we all go through this stage where your kids tell everybody what happens at home. they are so Innocent. they are honest. like mommy doesn't have clothes on so daddy takes us to the bus. if you don't want any family secrets out be sure to tell your kids not to tell a soul. then wait tell your youngest tell some stranger at the check out stand all the family secrets. red faced you smile and think of a million ways to get even with your little one. been there done that got the t-shirt. anyway we miss all of our grand kids and wish we were alot closer(mileage wise)well that's all i have to say about that. goodnight Texas and good night Germany. and to our soldier in Iraq. good morning. love pop and mom p.s today is our 34Th wedding anniversary, guess who forgot???? no not me shes got a romantic card. from her secret admirer.

twice stolen from the fillmores

Disclaimer: I thought this was a great idea so I stole it.

Here are the directions-
1. As a comment on my blog, leave one memory that you and I had together or it can be a memory with Ben, Alec, Hannah or Libbi. It doesn't have to be hilarious or mucho importante, anything you remember!

2. Re-post these instructions on your blog and see how many people leave a memory about you. If you leave a memory about me, I'll assume you're playing the game and I'll come to your blog and leave one about you. If you don't want to play on your blog, or if you don't have a blog, I'll leave my memory of you in my comments. Or if you don't feel like commenting you can email me if you have my email address.

Let the memories flow.
